‘Send-Off’ dog training has been around for a very long time. Its roots are based around principally training bird dogs. These dogs would be sent off to the trainers kennel, where the trainer would instruct the dogs how to do retrieval and basic field work. Most of these dogs were never house pets, and lived with other dogs near the favored hunting spots, only to be employed a few times a year. ‘Send-Off’ training progressed to the point of training house pets as well. The usual idea is that you take your dog to the trainers facility, and leave them there for a specified time. This is commonly a few weeks to a couple months depending on what is necessitated to be done and the difficultness of the dog being trained. During this time there is little to no contact amid the proprietor and the dog, until the training is completed. A dog obeisance training video is a dissimilar approach altogether. Instead of having someone else do all the work, it puts the responsibility of training the dog on it is owners shoulders. There is no separation amongst dog and owner when using a dog obeisance training video. No need to drive to another state to drop off or pick up your dog, in fact no need to drive at all. This style of training may be done in your own home at your own speed.

The greatest vantage of ‘Send-Off’ Training is likewise it is biggest disadvantage. ‘Send-Off’ training has someone else do the actual work of training the dog with the idea that once the dog is trained it will be an easy hand off of control to the dog owner. However dogs are intellectual sufficient to recognise when one person does something dissimilar than another person. With the proprietor almost totally annihilated from the equation of establishing dominance and authority, it is hard for the owner to be capable and proficient in the proficiencies and apps of obedience. The dog have a tendancy to realize this more week by week until ultimately they listen worse than they ever did before. A dog obeisance training video puts you in control by instructing you directly how to train your dog, and you as the proprietor build up a strong case that you are in charge. And since you built that bridge yourself, it is requiring little effort to see when it needs maintenance and you know how to rebuild it. All training done through a dog obeisance training video is done in the home. No training in a ‘Send-Off’ training is ever done in the home. You need your dog to obey you in your own home, not in the trainers! Aside from the critical flaw of taking the dog proprietor out of the training equation, ‘Send-Off’ training is not cheap. It may range from assorted hundred to various thousand dollars. A dog obeisance training video costs a fraction of what ‘Send-Off’ training costs, and there are galore available for beneath $50 dollars.

As a professional trainer I see and help instruct a lot of owners who sent their dogs away to get trained and were very frustrated within months of getting them back. The most remarkable case was an astounding Schutzhund 3 German Shepherd Dog male that knew all the commands. It also knew that it is owner did not recognise anything. The man expended over ten thousand dollars on this trained dog that was useless to him because he did not recognise what he was doing. So he had to add my fee on top of everything he had already spent. A good dog obeisance training video might not support everyone, but I would wholeheartedly commend it over a ‘Send-Off’ training program. If you look around you may find a great deal of that have gratification guaranteed warranties which make them practically peril free. If a dog obeisance training video does not support you, my next counsel would be to hire an In-Home dog trainer to aid you out as they likewise base their training in your home and may be there to tell you when you are doing something wrong. Not even the best video may tell you that.

5Highly Recommend!
By D.L.
I put this video in when my rather huge pooch was being exceptionally hyper and decisive to sit and watch to see how he reacted. At basi he kind of freaked out, placing his nose directly up versus the TV screen, marveling what and where those noises were coming from. After a few minutes, he stepped away a little but eyes still fixed on the screen and ears straight up listening intently. After another few minutes, he decisive to lie down — but still totally attentive – listening to the sounds and looking at the imagery. He didn’t make it all the way through the video before he fell asleep, but I was amazed. Not only have I never seen a dog watch television before, this video altogether held his attention and calmed him down. Heck, I enjoyed observing it with him myself. I highly commend this product and it performs as advertised.

5Puppy baby sitter.
By Kevin E. Cammer
I was very pleased with this dvd. My two Maltese puppies, ages 8 and 5 months love the dvd. I was more astonished that our 11 year old Great Pyrenees also likes the dvd. My wife and I are gone for work and school for some hours and anything which entertains our dogs is primarily appreciated. I would commend that any dog owners give this dvd a try.

4Keeps my dog out of trouble
By Veronica
We not long back got a 8 month old beagle that is too smart for his own darn good. We decisive not to cage him since he is housebroken and keeps the cats occupied. However, each and everyday I would come home to find something he climbed up on or got into (wicker baskets, toys, embellishments off the Christmas tree, etc). Figuring he was getting bored, I decisive to buy a “dog sitter” DVD to entertain him for the duration of the long hours we were gone. I haven’t had a probability to watch the DVD more than 10 minutes, and I don’t recognise what all it shows, but it does keep him out of trouble. Whether it be the dog sounds, the pictures, or the story, whenever we pop the DVD in before heading out the door, I come home to non-puppy-destroyed house. I don’t know if he actually watches it, or if the sounds are just soothing, but the DVD works versus days we just leave the TV on. It reminds me of a public access animal show, or something they would play at one of the region parks visitor centers. I would commend it, even though it is a little costly. I in particular like how it has a ceaseless play/loop default setting. It’s even better than playing classical music! Knowing that the DVD is on is a total relief for me and that when I come home, my little guy hasn’t made another mess for me to clean up.
